A day in the warehouse

Work the Ready To Ship queue, share orders out, pack from the bins shown, buy labels and hand boxes to the carrier.

Your queue

Start every day at Ready To Ship.

  • Warehouse

    Open Ready To Ship

In Orders, the Ready To Ship tab holds every order that is fully reserved and waiting to be packed. Ship By sorts the most urgent first, and Age shows how long each has waited.

  • Seller

Seller-stage orders are not in it

Payment Required and Waiting for Stock orders are still the seller's decisions, so they do not appear in your queue.

Share out the work

Who packs which order.

  • Warehouse

    Assign orders

Select orders, then Bulk actions → Assign to…. Pick a preparer and tick Also open a pick list for these orders to print one list for the batch. The owner, or a supervisor at their warehouse, can assign to others, reassign or Unassign.

  • Warehouse

    Or take them yourself

Staff use Assign to me. Assigned orders move to Preparing and show up in Assigned To Me.

  • Automatic

Packing assigns too, and unpacked claims are released

Confirming a box for an unassigned order assigns it to you. Every day, assigned orders with nothing packed go back to Ready To Ship.

Pick and pack

From bin to box.

  • Warehouse

    Open the order

Use Ship Order. Boxes come first: Planned boxes follows each product's packing rule and carton. The order lines show the bin to pick from in Location; once packed, a line reads Picked from A-01 instead. A default Ship From address must be set first.

  • Warehouse

    Check carton and weight

The Package panel shows the template and the weight: products plus the carton's tare. A product without weight asks you to enter it.

  • Warehouse

    Pack the box

Click Pack 1 box (or Pack by hand / Split manually). Until it has a label, a box can still be edited, split or deleted.

Buy the label

Next to the box.

  • Warehouse

    Pick a rate

The box card lists the rates. Pick one and click Buy & Print. By default it prints the label with a pick list. The prices you see are your own. For eBay orders where the buyer chose a service, the card shows Buyer selected and tags the matching rate.

  • Automatic

    Label Ready, not shipped

After the purchase the box is Label Ready and the marketplace is not told yet. Use Print & mark shipped only when the box is going out right now.

Hand over to the carrier

The moment the box leaves.

  • Warehouse

    Mark as shipped

When the carrier collects, go to Shipments → Label Ready, select the boxes and use Bulk actions → Mark as shipped.

  • Automatic

    What happens then

Stock leaves your bins, the seller is billed, the orders become Shipped and tracking goes to each marketplace.

When something goes wrong

Undo your own work.

  • Warehouse

    Damaged or missing stock

Delete the box and add a Depot Note from the order's Note action. The seller decides whether to cancel or wait.

  • Warehouse

    Cancelled after packing

On Shipments, use Return to shelf. Void the label first if there is one, then put the units back on the bins shown.
